During the Tulane versus Navy game this Saturday, Colonel Neal Jones, a Tulane Athletic’s Hall of Fame recipient and Football Letterwinner from 1957-1959 will be honored. Neal Jones’ military experiences after his time at Tulane are examples of valor, perseverance, the deepest inner strength, and devotion to his duty and country.

Colonel Jones is an exemplary model of a Tulane student-athlete. Much has been written about and many honors have been bestowed on Neal Jones. In 1973, Sports Illustrated devoted an extended feature on his return to Tulane, his thoughts on the changes in the University, college athletics, and his post-Tulane experiences. The story magnifies why Colonel Jones is being honored on Saturday. Join the T-Club as a great Tulanian and former Letterwinner is celebrated during the Tulane – Navy Game.
